WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO DO THIS PROJECT? To be able to remember the good times with my dad and cherish the time I had left with him.

WHAT ONE WORD DESCRIBES YOU BEST. Carefree and outgoing.

IF YOU WERE AN ANIMAL, WHAT WOULD YOU BE? A giraffe because they're outgoing, stand tall and independent.

IF YOUR PARENT WERE AN ANIMAL, WHAT WOULD HE/SHE BE? A panda because he is big, loveable and goofy.

IF YOU WERE MAROONED ON AN ISLAND, WHAT THREE THINGS WOULD YOU WANT TO HAVE WITH YOU? My parents, never-ending supply of food and water, shelter.

WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO FIND OUT ABOUT YOU? I can be very shy when meeting new people but once I get to know them, I become my crazy self.

WHAT IS MOST "SPECIAL" TO YOU ABOUT YOUR PARENT? How loving he is toward everyone. He always a heart in everything he does. Even though he gets mad, he gets over it and moves on. He's always caring and will never stop. He has a huge heart and it shows. He is admired by everyone and that is something I love about him.

IN WHAT WAY HAS HAVING A PARENT WITH CANCER CHANGED YOUR LIFE? It has definitely made it harder on everyone. My mom and I have become more stressed about everything but that hasn't stopped us. I feel embarrassed about the situation with him having lung cancer but I have grown to accept who he is and how it doesn't matter what other people think.

DESCRIBE SOMETHING THAT YOU LEARNED ABOUT YOUR CHILD WHILE YOUR PORTRAIT WAS BEING TAKEN AND WHAT IT MEANT TO YOU TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED BY HIM/HER.
It is still possible for us to work together amicably to achieve a goal. It was much easier to do when we were both younger. I had to learn to step back a bit and not be the decision maker, that was her job this time.

WHAT IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT LEARNING EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE SHARED WITH YOUR CHILD SINCE BEING DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER?
I have asked her to start setting some long-term goals and to focus on achieving or exceeding thse goals in the coming years. I told her always to do what is best for her and not to concentrate on pleasing others.
