WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO DO THIS PROJECT?
I like taking pictures, especially of my mother.
WHAT ONE WORD DESCRIBES YOU BEST.
Caring about people.
IF YOU WERE AN ANIMAL, WHAT WOULD YOU BE?
A dog.
IF YOUR PARENT WERE AN ANIMAL, WHAT WOULD HE/SHE BE?
A seal.
IF YOU WERE MAROONED ON AN ISLAND, WHAT THREE THINGS WOULD YOU WANT TO HAVE WITH YOU?
My mom, food and water.
WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO FIND OUT ABOUT YOU?
That I was mean to my mother/family, that I did illegal things and that I had cancer as well.
WHAT IS MOST "SPECIAL" TO YOU ABOUT YOUR PARENT?
That she has a sense of humor. Usually people are always depressed about their cancer. My mom goes with the flow and tries not to think about it. She makes jokes.
IN WHAT WAY HAS HAVING A PARENT WITH CANCER CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
It has changed my eating ways. Now I eat healthier. And my family and I research things that can cause cancer, so we can avoid that.... I am much more cautiuos.

DESCRIBE SOMETHING THAT YOU LEARNED ABOUT YOUR CHILD WHILE YOUR PORTRAIT WAS BEING TAKEN AND WHAT IT MEANT TO YOU TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED BY HIM/HER.
She knew what poses she wanted and had a good eye for environments. She could tell me what she wanted. I can see how much she loves me and how important it is to her to get a good shot of me.
WHAT IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT LEARNING EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE SHARED WITH YOUR CHILD SINCE BEING DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER?
That the important things in life are not material. The time we spend with each other and the love that we have is the most important thing.
